Rainer Willi Bussmann’s scholarly impact: a scientometric review

Background: The article ascertains the intellectual legacy and impact of Rainer Willi Bussmann (RWB), an active ethnobotanist. It is a scientometric review intended to provide tribute contributions he has made Ethnobiology, associated disciplines.Methods: Bussmann’s various IDs were used collect his publications from Scopus, Web Science, Google Scholar ResearchGate. He was also contacted (via email) for information on life history scientific expeditions that took. Personal experience one authors (ZAM) describing Bussmann. tools mapping CRExplorer, VOSviewer Perish or Publish.Results: RWB developed curiosity about plants at very young age. His entire career been characterized by seeking creating opportunities in research, conservation community service. 1767 authored co-authored published 369 different source titles. But 16.98% ‘Ethnobotany Mountain Regions – Ethnobotany Andes’ followed 13.92% Himalayas’. Out total (1767), 1200 (67.91%) are book chapters Journal articles 274 (15.50%). maximum (966; 80.5%) year 2020. collaborated with 55 countries. found titles 18 world languages, prominent languages being English, Spanish German.Conclusion: Documentation traditional knowledge theme around which RWBs research revolves. conducted numerous such studies Bolivia, Peru, Caucasus, Himalayas. Examination keyword co-occurrence (text analysis abstracts) networks facilitated identification clusters, addressing subjects as ethnobotany documentation Pakistan etc.
